The rant hit timelines May 16, 2026. Akademiks posted the clip. DDG, Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., talking straight to camera.
Fuck Chud the Builder. Hope he gets life. Hope you drop the soap and get cracked.
That is the whole message. No legal brief. No watch of the livestream. A rapper answering a streamer whose content was racial bait and whose last stream ended with shots outside a Tennessee courthouse.
Dalton Levi Eatherly, 28, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, a firearm count, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment. Bond started at $1.25 million, later talked down toward $1 million. Joshua Fox, the other man in the plaza, was flown out stable. Eatherly’s arm wound was described by officials as looking like he hit himself. He told responders he had to defend himself.
DDG is not a witness. He is a voice with a following that already hated the streams. The soap line is jailhouse cruelty dressed as a punchline. It does not add a fact to Montgomery County’s file. It adds a reaction video.
Chud’s audience answered the other way: stand-your-ground, GiveSendGo past $150,000 in two days, coin spike. Two internets, same shooting.
Life in prison is what a jury might one day discuss if a conviction lands on attempted murder with a gun. It is not what a magistrate stamped on day one. DDG said he hopes for it anyway. That hope is content. The booking photo and the county shirt are the part that is already in the system.
The graphic is DDG in the jeweled black jacket, Eatherly in profile in the Montgomery County Jail shirt, a deputy and a judge blurred behind. Two men who have never shared a case. One charged. One commenting. The headline is the comment. The court still has to do the rest.
