Halle Berry Says Most Men Are Bad at Sex and Women Fake Orgasms Just So Men Can Stop With the Nonsense Pounding
That is the caption version. Her version is longer and less of a roast.
On Sex With Emily with Emily Morse (the February 2026 episode Entertainment Weekly recapped), Berry said the old habit was performative. Get there so he felt good about bringing her there. Say it happened so he could feel finished. That, she said, puts his needs first. She does not do that anymore. “I come first like you come first to you.” Both people should get to roll over actually done, not one snoring and one staring at the ceiling.
A later clip that ran in May added the line the graphic grabbed: everybody has faked it because you just want it to be done. Sometimes you just want the pounding to stop. Then the bathroom and the vibrator. She asked the women in the room to cop to it. If you say that is not true, she said, you are lying.
UNILAD and Psychology Today numbers got taped onto the same package — surveys that have for years put a majority of heterosexual women on the “faked at least once” list. Those studies are not Halle’s diary. They are why a 59-year-old Oscar winner saying it out loud still charts. Porn timing, male ego, not wanting to hurt feelings, wanting the clock to stop: those are the reasons researchers list. She listed two of them without a footnote.
She has also said, in the same cycle, that she does not have to fake it with fiancé Van Hunt. That is her relationship, not a consumer review of the entire gender.
The manosphere read an attack. The quote is closer to a work note: if the only way the scene ends is a performance, the scene was never mutual. That is not “most men.” That is a lot of nights ending on a lie because the alternative was a conversation. She is done with the lie. The internet turned it into a scoreboard.
Adults can say the quiet part. The graphic made it a dunk. The podcast made it a boundary. Pick which one you are posting.
