The sheriff’s office put it in writing the same day as the shots.

Dalton Eatherly, 28, detained by criminal investigators. Charged with criminal attempt: murder, employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. Booked into Montgomery County Jail. Held pending arraignment. Bond to be set there.

That is the Facebook block on this graphic. No spin. Four counts.

The shooting was about 1:15 p.m. on May 13, 2026, in Millennium Plaza next to the Montgomery County Courts Center in Clarksville, Tennessee. Eatherly, who streams as ChudTheBuilder, was there for a civil debt date. A confrontation with a man later identified as Joshua Fox ended with multiple shots. Fox was LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt in Nashville, listed stable. Eatherly went by ambulance with an arm wound officials said looked self-inflicted. He asked on the livestream if he had shot himself or only been grazed.

His story to deputies on camera: the other man laughed, warned him about racial slurs, then hit him and kept hitting after the gun came out. He called it defense. He blamed people online for putting money on his head. District Attorney Robert Nash said Eatherly is the one who opened fire.

Eatherly’s beat is IRL video built on slurs and reaction. That is why a crowd was already around him at the courthouse and why the fundraiser and the coin moved as soon as the clip did. Bond later landed around $1 million after starting higher.

The photo under the post is the walk: gray suit, mustache, earbud, deputies and medics around him. The statement is the part that matters in court. Attempted murder is the top count. Arraignment is where the number on the bond sheet gets read out loud. Everything else is the stream.
