Oprah Winfrey is bringing one of the most ambitious live projects of her career to the Las Vegas Sphere, taking over the massive immersive venue for one weekend in April 2027.

“Oprah Winfrey’s AHA” will run April 2 through April 4, 2027, with four performances spread across three days. Rather than a traditional speaking engagement or concert, the two-hour production is being billed as a visual and musical “symphony of senses,” combining Winfrey’s storytelling with live music, poetry, original art, film and the Sphere’s immersive technology.

Tickets start at $145. The primary AHA presale begins Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. Pacific, followed by additional presales before tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. Pacific.

Oprah Goes Immersive

Winfrey will appear live onstage throughout the production, but AHA is being constructed as a collaborative experience rather than a one-woman show.

Seven-time Grammy winner Jacob Collier is among the announced performers, alongside acclaimed poet and author Ocean Vuong, musician Ajeet and gospel singer Wintley Phipps. Additional surprise guests are expected to appear at individual performances.

Behind the scenes, Winfrey has assembled an extensive creative team. Oscar-nominated composer Max Richter is providing musical direction and original music, with composer and electronic artist Jon Hopkins also contributing original music. Grammy-winning musician Jason White is overseeing choir direction, while Oscar-winning Moonlight screenwriter Tarell Alvin McCraney is contributing to the writing. Artist and stage designer Es Devlin is creating original work for the production.

Ethan Tobman is directing the production, with Baz Halpin serving as producer.

The result is intended to blend several forms of performance into a single experience, with the Sphere itself becoming part of the storytelling.

Its massive wraparound LED display and immersive sound system will be used alongside lighting, visual effects and other sensory elements to surround the audience rather than simply place a performance in front of them. Ticketmaster warns that the production may include seat haptics, movement sensations, flashing and intense lighting, loud sounds and atmospheric simulations.

The Idea Started With U2

The concept began after Winfrey attended U2’s opening-night performance at the Sphere in 2023.

Winfrey said she was struck by what the venue could accomplish beyond a conventional concert and began imagining how its technology could be used to create an experience centered on personal reflection and human connection.

That eventually became AHA.

The production is designed around the kind of sudden realization reflected in its title—the moment when an idea, experience or understanding changes how someone sees themselves or the world around them.

It also brings Winfrey back to territory that has defined much of her career. For decades, her television programs, interviews, books, live tours and other projects have centered on personal transformation, spirituality and conversations about how people understand their own lives.

AHA takes those familiar themes and places them inside one of the most technologically advanced entertainment venues in the world.

Four Shows, One Weekend

The engagement will be brief.

AHA opens Friday, April 2 at 8 p.m. and returns Saturday, April 3 at 8 p.m. The final day, Sunday, April 4, features two performances: a noon matinee and a 6 p.m. evening show.

There are currently no additional dates announced beyond the four Las Vegas performances.

Tickets begin at $145, while hotel experience packages combining tickets with a two-night stay at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas are also being offered.

The main presale begins Sept. 22, with the general sale opening Sept. 25.

For Winfrey, the limited run represents something different from simply booking the Sphere for another celebrity residency. AHA has been conceived specifically around the capabilities of the venue, bringing together musicians, poets, filmmakers, writers and visual artists for an experience that exists somewhere between a live show, a cinematic production and one of Winfrey’s signature conversations about life.

And for now, audiences will have only one weekend to see it.
