Sydney Sweeney turned her 29th birthday into a full-fledged fashion campaign, celebrating the final year of her 20s with a provocative new photoshoot for her lingerie brand, SYRN.
The Euphoria star unveiled the birthday-themed campaign in the weeks leading up to her Sept. 12 birthday, modeling pieces from a collection appropriately titled “Birthday Boobs.” Instead of a traditional celebrity birthday shoot, Sweeney transformed the occasion into another major promotional moment for the lingerie company she has been building throughout 2026.
Photographed by Greg Swales, the campaign places Sweeney inside a retro-inspired kitchen filled with birthday cakes, balloons and baking supplies. She models several pieces from the collection, including floral lace sets, garters, stockings and sheer designs in black and pastel shades.
“Celebrate my birthday month with my newest @syrn collection,” Sweeney wrote while teasing the release.
The campaign continued with SYRN declaring, “Birthday suits look a little different around here,” before announcing the collection's Sept. 1 release.
Sydney Made Herself the Face of the Campaign
Sweeney isn't simply appearing in another fashion company's advertisement. SYRN is her own lingerie business, making the birthday shoot part celebrity photoshoot and part founder-led marketing campaign.
The actress leaned heavily into the birthday theme. One image shows her eating cake while wearing a black floral lace set, while other shots place her around the vintage kitchen in baby-blue and pink designs. Some of the campaign's most revealing images use strategically positioned birthday cakes as part of the styling.
The playful presentation is consistent with the deliberately attention-grabbing marketing Sweeney has used to establish SYRN. Rather than keeping herself behind the company as a celebrity founder, she has repeatedly served as the brand's primary model and promotional centerpiece.
That strategy gives SYRN something a new lingerie company would ordinarily have to spend heavily to obtain: immediate global attention.
Sweeney already has an enormous audience from Euphoria, The White Lotus and her growing film career. Each new SYRN campaign can therefore function simultaneously as a celebrity moment, fashion shoot and product launch.
Her birthday provided an especially obvious opportunity to combine all three.
The Collection Has a More Romantic Side
Despite the deliberately provocative name, Sweeney described “Birthday Boobs” as one of SYRN's more romantic collections.
The pieces incorporate chiffon, bows, floral lace and embroidery, with bras, thongs, camisoles and garter belts appearing throughout the lineup. The collection also introduced embroidery featuring Sweeney's handwritten phrase, “I really love you.”
“I’m a lovergirl at heart,” Sweeney said while discussing the collection, explaining that she wanted the birthday release to feel feminine and personal. She described the pieces as something resembling a love note that could be worn.
That romantic aesthetic is reflected throughout the shoot. Rather than relying on a modern studio backdrop, the campaign uses an exaggerated vintage kitchen and traditional birthday imagery to give the photographs a retro pinup-inspired atmosphere.
The birthday cakes aren't simply props. They become a recurring visual theme connecting the campaign to Sweeney's birthday while giving the collection a recognizable identity separate from SYRN's other releases.
Sweeney Has Turned Lingerie Into a Business
The campaign arrives during a significant expansion of Sweeney's identity outside acting.
For years, much of the public conversation surrounding the actress centered on her appearance, fashion choices and the intense attention generated by her role as Cassie Howard on Euphoria. With SYRN, Sweeney is attempting to turn some of that attention into a business she controls herself.
The brand has divided its products into different personalities, including Romantic, Seductress, Comfy and Playful, allowing collections to move between everyday pieces and more elaborate lingerie.
“Birthday Boobs” falls into the Romantic category.
Sweeney's decision to model the products herself also means the company doesn't have to separate its brand identity from its founder. Her image is effectively part of the product's marketing strategy.
That has produced plenty of attention—and controversy.
Earlier promotional campaigns for SYRN already generated headlines, establishing that Sweeney and the company were willing to use provocative imagery and unconventional publicity to keep the brand in the cultural conversation.
The birthday campaign continues that approach, but with a more personal hook.
Her 29th Birthday Became Part of the Brand
Sweeney officially turned 29 on Sept. 12, making this her final year before entering her 30s.
Rather than treating the birthday as separate from her business, she folded the milestone directly into SYRN's marketing calendar. The campaign began rolling out in late August, the collection arrived Sept. 1 and the attention continued through Sweeney's actual birthday.
By then, the photos had become part of a much larger wave of birthday coverage surrounding the actress.
It is an increasingly familiar strategy for celebrity-founded companies. The founder's personal life and public profile become marketing assets themselves, allowing moments that would already attract entertainment coverage to double as product promotion.
Few celebrities have leaned into that connection as directly as Sweeney has with SYRN.
For her 29th birthday, there was no attempt to separate Sydney Sweeney the actress, Sydney Sweeney the celebrity and Sydney Sweeney the entrepreneur.
She put all three into the same campaign—and brought the birthday cake along with her.
