J Prince Jr’s name came up after the April 8, 2026 shooting at Confessions restaurant in Houston, where Detroit rapper AllStar JR said people tried to rob him of his jewelry.
Police said the fight started when men tried to snatch AllStar JR’s chains. During the struggle, a gun came out and shots were fired. NBA Ben 10 and another man were hit. AllStar JR, whose legal name is Jeremy Christopher Ford, later faced a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Video from the restaurant showed J Prince Jr., son of Rap-A-Lot founder James Prince, was there that night. AllStar JR accused him of being connected to the jump and later taunted him online and on the diss track “Mob Untied,” rapping, “Thought he was Mob Ties till I shot his ass a few times.”
J Prince Jr denied any role. He said he went to Confessions alone for OG 3Three’s birthday dinner, did not know AllStar JR was there, and did not bring anyone with him. He also wished Ben 10 and the other injured man a speedy recovery.
No public charges have been filed against J Prince Jr in the case. The official investigation has focused on the shooting and the alleged robbery of AllStar JR’s jewelry.
