Offset’s First Appearance Since Being Hospitalized: Performed From a Wheelchair After Florida Casino Shooting, “Real Love” From His Fans**
Offset made his first public performance after being shot, rolling onto the stage in a wheelchair at the University of Arkansas Rowfest on April 11, 2026.
He was shot five days earlier, on April 6, in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Police said a fight broke out and gunfire followed. Offset, whose legal name is Kiari Cephus, was hit in the leg. Doctors called the injury non-life-threatening. He was released from the hospital on April 9.
At Rowfest he came out in a wheelchair, then stood and performed, including Migos’ “Bad and Boujee.” He posted the clips with the caption “REAL LOVE.” His mother, Latabia Woodward, called him a “miracle walking.”
Lil Tjay was arrested after the casino incident and charged with disorderly conduct. He has denied being the shooter. The investigation into who fired the gun continued.
Offset later said he did not want pity. “People get shot every day,” he said. “I’m blessed. I can keep pushing, so why would I just sit down?” He also wrote that life is a gamble and he is still playing to win.
