Tony Yayo said it first on The Real Report in May. The G-Unit sneakers are coming back. Shout-out Reebok. No date. Just the rumor and a picture of the old colorways on a wooden board.
The number on this graphic is the one 50 has used for years. The original deal did about $80 million for him. 2003. Same year as Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Reebok had lost LeBron to Nike and went lifestyle: 50, Jay-Z’s S. Carter, Daddy Yankee. 50 later said his shoes beat Jay’s six to one.
The shoe itself was the G6. White leather, gray suede toe, red-white-blue hits, G-Unit script on the side, icy sole. Tennis-court clean, not a basketball tank. Kids wore them with velour and fitteds. Then they disappeared into the archive and the resale bins.
Reebok split from Adidas in 2022 and started digging up its own history. 50 told GQ the timing finally made sense. G-Unit fans never left. A new generation found the videos. They did not modernize the last. They pulled the 2003 spec and charged $130.
August 20, 2026. JD, Finish Line, Reebok.com. First colorway: the original white with the tri-color. Sold out in under two hours. StockX and GOAT jumped. 50 posted the old line at Rick Ross: sold out, fat boy. He credited New York for the run.
The grid in the graphic is the collector wall: white-blue, white-red, gold hits, black, navy with a Yankee mark, forest green. That is the catalog people wanted back, not one safe retro. No restock was announced in the first week. More colorways are the obvious next move if the first pair vanishing that fast is the test.
Yayo’s May leak was the headline this image was built for. The August drop is the ending. Same shoe, same $80 million origin story, new generation in the line. Reebok is back. G-Unit never really left the closet. They just waited for the box to show up again.
