Drake Freezes 2 Courtside Seats in Anticipation for His New Album “Iceman”
Drake’s usual courtside seats at Scotiabank Arena were iced over before the Toronto Raptors’ April 12, 2026 game against the Brooklyn Nets.
The Raptors covered the two chairs in faux ice and hanging icicles and posted, “Drake’s seats froze.” Drake liked the post and put the photo on his Instagram story. Fans immediately read it as a teaser for his long-promised album Iceman.
The seats were cleared by tipoff and stayed empty. Toronto won 136-101 and locked up the fifth seed in the East. The ice stunt still got more attention than the score.
Drake had already said “Iceman coming soon” while honoring Nelly Furtado at the 2026 Juno Awards. The album is his first solo project since For All the Dogs in 2023. The frozen chairs were part of a bigger rollout that later included a 25-foot ice sculpture in downtown Toronto with the release date hidden inside. Iceman arrived May 15, 2026.
