Gucci Mane dropped “Crash Dummy” on April 10, 2026, one week after federal prosecutors charged Pooh Shiesty and others in the alleged Dallas studio robbery and kidnapping.
The Zaytoven-produced record is Gucci’s first public response to the January 10 incident. Prosecutors say Pooh Shiesty lured Gucci to a meeting about his 1017 contract, then forced him at gunpoint to sign a release and robbed him and others of jewelry and cash.
Gucci does not name Pooh on the track, but the shots are clear. He raps, “Tell the truth, you went out like a real crash dummy / And after all that, boy, you still signed to me?” He compares himself to Birdman and 1017 to Cash Money. He also takes a swing at Big30, calling him a “fat ass flunky.”
The key lines walk through the night: “I thought it was a business meeting, but it was a set up.” Later: “Pen to the paper, but it’s under duress.” The hook is “I done been betrayed, now my heart turned cold.”
Gucci frames it as business, not personal, while making it obvious he still considers Pooh signed. The song split listeners. Some called it a victory lap. Others argued about whether talking about the case on record was snitching.
Pooh Shiesty has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody. Trial is set for February 2027.
