In April 2022 a Lil Durk look-alike who goes by Perkio walked into what he thought was a YouTuber collaboration and walked out wearing King Von on his back. 6ix9ine’s crew had the room. SteveWillDoIt was the name that got him there; Steve later said he did not know Tekashi was upstairs and later put money, crypto, shoes, and Cartier on Perkio to make the setup right. The clip 6ix9ine posted is the one that still gets recirculated: jacket out of a bag, draped on, camera to the embroidery, caption tagging Durk and needling that nobody slides but they will wear the shirt. Perkio looks frozen. He said afterward they pressed his arms, that it was an ambush, that he was there for a collab. Visibly uncomfortable is the polite phrase. The impolite phrase is using a dead friend’s face as a prop on a stranger who happens to have Durk’s jawline.
King Von was killed in Atlanta in November 2020. Durk has spent years saying that name in public like a wound. Putting Von on a jacket and forcing it onto a look-alike is not a diss track. It is a photo op that treats a homicide as wardrobe. 6ix9ine’s whole product in that era was getting a camera into a room other people did not want him in. This was that product.
What Perkio was
A TikTok twin. He had already met the real Durk. The internet likes doubles because they are cheap special effects. He was not OTF. He was not a combatant. He was a face that let Tekashi point at Durk without Durk having to be in Florida. That is why the troll backfired in the only way these things backfire: the look-alike became the sympathetic one and the jacket became the evidence of taste.
SteveWillDoIt’s apology tour — cash on camera — is the influencer version of a cleanup crew. It does not unfilm the embroidery. It does not ask Von’s people how they felt about merch. It pays the guy who got used.
Why the clip still works as bait
Because Durk’s federal trial is on a 2026 calendar and the internet has a short memory for everything except a visual. Because 6ix9ine’s method has not changed even when the headlines have. Because a look-alike is still a look-alike. Recirculating the ambush in the same month Big Durk is asking for dua is how timelines flatten four years.
Perkio said he was tricked. The video agrees with him. Durk’s first public reaction was that he had not even seen the crazy. Then the internet made sure he did. None of that is a legal filing. It is a 2022 content crime against a dead man and a civilian who looked like someone famous.
Do not wear the dead as a punchline. Do not send a double into a room with a man who needs a headline. The jacket did what it was designed to do: travel. The person inside it did not ask to be the vehicle. That is the entire incident. It was ugly then. It is still ugly when it autoplays. Von is not a jacket. Perkio is not Durk. 6ix9ine got the clip. That was the only win he was shopping for.
