Tucker Carlson has been saying a version of this since at least late 2024. The clip on this graphic is him saying it again as a fact.

His source, in the first telling, was “a longtime intel official.” That person told him the big adult sites are controlled by intelligence agencies because the agencies want the data. He added dating apps to the same pile. The reason, he said, is blackmail. Once the most embarrassing parts of your life are known by people who want to control you, you are controlled. He pointed at members of Congress whose votes, in his view, do not match their private beliefs.

In later remarks he dropped the hedge. “All the porn sites are controlled by governments and intel agencies.” Nothing you visit is private. It is stored. It will be used if necessary. He also said that includes the camera on your phone. He has separately claimed he does not keep a computer in the house because he believes agencies plant illegal material on machines when they want someone crushed.

None of that is a documented finding from a court, a congressional report, or an inspector general. It is Carlson citing an unnamed official and then stating the conclusion as settled. Adult platforms do collect viewing data. Governments do serve legal process on tech companies. Intelligence services have used sexual kompromat in real cases for decades. Jumping from that to “the sites are controlled” and “everything is stored for later” is Carlson’s leap.

The photo is a stage setup, mic in one hand, the other hand open. The headline is the claim packaged for the timeline. People who already think the surveillance state runs the culture treated it as a warning. People who do not treat unnamed intel sources as gospel treated it as another Carlson monologue. The tape does not prove the control. It only proves he said it out loud, more than once.
